Silktide uses the term “content” to refer to all content it can test.
This convention allows us to apply universal paradigms to all forms of content, e.g. we can apply one check to HTML and PDFs together.
A page is a HTML webpage.
A document is a non-HTML document, such as a PDF document, Word document, or Excel spreadsheet. Currently Silktide only supports PDF documents, and so “documents” is synonymous with PDFs.
Some of Silktide’s features work equally on Pages and Documents. When combining these concepts, we refer to them together as “Content”.
